Beau Miles
Австралия
Добавлен 18 май 2016
Beau spent his childhood looking for golf balls, secretly hoping to find a body part in the swamps and marshes. He still looks in odd places for much the same thing (and feeling). Being redhead means that sunscreen, big hats and old business shirts cloak him during outdoor life. He likes baths more than showers, homemade wine and licorice. By god he likes licorice.
Six golden rules of ultrarunning bootcamp
Yeah, I run. I’ve always run, but not like this; with a plan, bags of Tailwind, a beeping watch, and the looming deadline of a race that’s happily called the hardest 100k race in Australia. That means proper training, taking it a bit more seriously than some of my antics in the past, and likely means I can’t just eat bananas. That, and I’ve lined up for this bloody race twice and not finished (yes, there’s films on the way about that). This holiday has many themes, and one of them is running. Run you bastard.

THE NARCISSIST: I’m on the verge of RUclips burnout, caught in the wicked world of shoot, make, upload, repeat. It’s a good life, and this ain’t a grizzle, no, it’s more of a reflection of how I’ve been sucked into the belief that more is better and consistency is king. I’m sure this can be the case, but it sucks to live by it. And I haven’t fished in too long, and I like fishing. I’m patient w...
Walking 90km to work changed my life
Просмотров 456 тыс.Месяц назад
I first walked to work in the early summer of 2014. Door to door, my university job was 93 kilometres away, or 90 when I took missguided shortcuts. After a few years of talking about doing more adventuring in closer to home places, often called mundane, places that would never have a postcard printed in their honour, I decided to walk from my porch to my desk. A trip that takes 75 minutes in th...

JUNK SCREWS: There comes a time in life when you need to sort your shit. In my case, screws and nails and hardware and a wide variety of weird stuff I’ll never use. Occupying opportunistics homes in yogurt containers, hats, shoe boxes and green bags, it’s fair to say my weakness for a second hand screw means they’ve infiltrated every bloody corner of the farm. That’s what this simple film is ab...

A BLOODY LONG RUN - EPISODE 3: I find myself in good shape, in the mountains, about to start day two of running the 220km McMillans walking track. I'd failed on my first attempt 15 weeks earlier and was back, bearded, a little cagey, fresh off the back of some hard months of training in the hills. I was here for two reasons; to run the magnificent backcountry of my home state, and to think abou...

A BLOODY LONG RUN - EPISODE 2: Something was wrong. I was attempting to be the first person to run McMillans walking track- a route cut into the remote and rugged Australian mountains in 1864 by the men of infamous mass murderer Angus McMillan. 55km into the proposed three day run, contouring the steep flanks of the Crooked River, it occurred to me that I hadn’t leaked all day. Out of touch fro...

A BLOODY LONG RUN - EPISODE 1: In 1864 the mass murdering pastoralist Angus McMillan cut an ambitious 220km path through the mountains between two remote gold mining towns in the heart of Victoria, Australia. 120 years later a group of bushwalkers stitched the trail back together. When I found out about the track I decided to run it, thinking ‘gee, this track has a story to tell’! Running 73 km...

Love your work, a people's champ.
That was a bottle of piss
As an Australian I am absolutely disgusted that this is an Australian waterway. The council should be cleaning this up like yesterday!
your wife is as beautiful as your personality Beau, I know you've got a golden one there but it also always shows in everything you show of her and how you talk about her
You’re the man Beau.
Looking sharp with that haircut Beau
you are taking a hell of a risk mate, there are industrial toxins in that river that are carcinogens and mutagens. Not super-hero style, more like melting flesh etc.
all im thinking when u are on the roof is, you could save all them tiles
GOODNESS IS THE ONLY INVESTMENT THAT NEVER FAILS !! YOU SIR ARE AWESOME !👍🙋🙏🙏😎
Beau, you have helped me get out of my comfort zone and go for all my wild ideas I have. You are the man, and I love all your content. Breath of fresh air for sure. Thank you and keep it up! 👍
humanity is broken…
Anyone know the brand of hat Beau's wearing (from a fellow pale, ginger man!!)
As a Boy from Drouin here mate, love ya work 👍🏻
Just add a fee on top of the product price, which pays people to collect. Then hire those people.
Some drivers urinate in the bottles before throwing them out the window…
I love the idea of "I'm running back to them": running back to your family. Despite the selfishness that is the act of running (and I battle with this a lot) I think that's an important theme to hold on to. If I'm doing an out-and-back, or a loop, it's the half-way point where my spirits lift, not because I'm nearly done, but because the act of turning home fills me with joy. Perhaps all runs (and adventures for that matter) should be done in one direction only, that of the direction that leads you home 🏠
The only reason he kept going was the farts pushing him along. Really unbeanlievable. This man doesn't strive for excellence he strive for flatulence.
love you beau
Any fix for rolling ankles?
looking like china with that all rubbish in the water 😂
i think deep in our DNA there is a desire to be stewards of the land and take care of it. away from modern distractions, family, people and the land are the most important things to us.
I can't believe I didn't know Beau until yesterday. A refreshing, inspiring and positive view on life.
Andrew Santino is a method actor? Wow. This new bean flick looks good. P.S. Just realized I legitimately typed the term ‘bean flick’ in a non-perverted way. That’s an accomplishment for me!
Thank you for this video
Dude that airplane restaurant could be a big hit. Especially if you get an out of commission airplane and add a tour of the cockpit and luggage storage area. Plus some airline history hear and there could be a noce touch.
you forgot the ears
Naturejabs plastic to fuel now
Come on people from Australia. Work a few weekends and clean it. You can do it!
How about all of you people who live there start cleaning it up and keep it clean instead of having to simply contact your government. The trash comes from citizens so clean it up yourselves. Its that simple.
I love that you eat the unopened chocolate! That's what I would do! I've found unopened beers on the side of the road too, which I gave away :)
You shouldn't any thing off the road, foods in wrappers may be a Hazzard to your health! In your mouth!
This is great stuff. Even if for publicity purposes. Thanks for cleaning up the environment
This earned a subscribe from me
Cash in those cans 😢
Mid life adventure crisis 😂.. I guess I could say I am in that as well ❤
Where are the air freshners at?
Hey where is sequal?
I am dying to know what the number 2's were like.
I'd say that you're both Kramer
Not only is it a righteous exercise, but it's also an amazing gift.
More people should aspire to be like you
In the US the rivers have caught fire a few times, beat that!
Is there anyway us aussies can help / need a garbage buddy to help ya clean .?
❤
Now you can pick it up all the way home and back on Friday on two different routes lol
I would be scared of crocks. They make machines to clear the water way. The government should be required to install them here.
Hey mate you mentioned a mate of yours prepared your program for you. I’m planning on doing that 100k’r next year. I was wondering if you could put me in touch with him please? Cheers Craig
Why are you just playing with rubbish in a disgusting pit? Weird
Now do one where you eat your weight in lard.
NOOOOO DONT EAT THATTTTTTTTTT AHHHHHHHH😭🤣😭🤣😭🤣
